Highland Hills
Elevated Central Austin living with commanding views and quiet streets.
What I actually think about Highland Hills.
Highland Hills is the kind of neighborhood where buyers who do their homework find real value. The elevation means genuine views — not just glimpses between rooftops, but sweeping sight lines that make the landscape part of daily life. Yet the address hasn't commanded the same premium as Westlake Hills or Barton Creek.
The housing stock ranges from original mid-century ranch homes to fully rebuilt estates. The best renovations here took the views seriously — orienting living spaces toward the Hill Country or downtown, adding glass and terraces that make the location feel intentional.
The Loop 360 corridor puts every part of Austin within reach. For buyers who work downtown, at the Domain, or who travel frequently, Highland Hills often turns out to solve the practical side of Austin living better than neighborhoods with more prestige.
